Cerabact Injection is an antibacterial drug that can be administered via intramuscular & intravenous routes. It contains ceftriaxone as active compound having chemical formula C18H18N8O7S3 and molar mass of 554.58 g/mol. This injection is completely suitable to be administered for treatment of meningitis, pneumonia, and middle ear infections. Cerabact Injection works by binding to transpeptidases that are one of the protein binding proteins that catalyze cross-linking of peptidoglycan polymers in bacterial cell wall and inhibits its synthesis. It belongs to third generation cephalosporin class having elimination half-life of 5.8 to 8.7 hours.
