Cerabact Injection works by binding to transpeptidases that are one of the protein binding proteins that catalyze cross-linking of peptidoglycan polymers in bacterial cell wall and inhibits its synthesis. It belongs to third generation cephalosporin class having elimination half-life of 5.8 to 8.7 hours.
